The spectacular natural beauty that characterizes Trillium’s sophisticated golf course reminds us of why we play “The Old Game” in the first place. By combining natural elements with careful design and a traditional approach to the game of golf, Trillium Links is the Hallmark of the Trillium amenities. When combined with the driving range and practice facility, it’s easy to see that Trillium Links offers a comprehensive range of golfing amenities unlike any other in the mountains of North Carolina. Together, this top-rated course and inviting Clubhouse are an integral part of the Trillium lifestyle and the heart of a warm, welcoming community.
Inspired by the panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, course designer and PGA Senior Tour Player Morris Hatalsky created an award-winning 18-hole championship course that meanders through mountain laurels and indigenous hardwoods, as the dramatic elevation changes bring fresh challenges at every hole.
Trillium Links is, unquestionably, one of the finest championship golf courses in western North Carolina. Regardless of your handicap, you’ll find golf at Trillium Links challenging and enjoyable, with 4 sets of tees, bent grass tees, greens and fairways, magnificent vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, all combined with an occasional greeting from the local wildlife.
The fitness and wellness amenities at Apple Orchard Park’s 25,000 square foot facility complement Trillium’s broad array of outdoor activities. Trillium offers a variety of dining experiences for Members and guests. The restaurants and lounges have been designed to take full advantage of Trillium’s defining elements – the outdoor environment of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the pristine Lake Glenville. Each venue promises to satisfy the sense of sight, sound, and smell with magnificent views, indigenous wildlife sounds, and mountain breezes.
In today’s fast-paced culture, many who have achieved worldly success continue to search for a sense of significance, for some inner assurance that their life will have enduring meaning. It is our desire that families at Trillium find joy, support and opportunities for continued growth along their life journey. The original vision of our founders, to offer families a community within which the whole person can be nourished, still guides us today. Serenity Chapel stands as a constant reminder of that vision and commitment.
Whether stopping at the Chapel for a time of quiet prayer and thanksgiving, attending a Sunday service or seminar, joining in a small group study, or simply ending a perfect mountain day around a campfire, it is our hope that all ages will find many significant ways in which to grow while here in God’s country.
When your body and mind need a time-out, there are massage and spa services available at Apple Orchard Park. There is a sauna in both ladies’ and men’s locker rooms to be enjoyed either pre-massage, post-exercise, or while just plain relaxing!
Massage therapists are available by appointment seven days a week. You may select from a wide range of treatments performed in our massage studio or in the privacy of your own home!
“Where Families Belong” is more than a slogan here at Trillium, it’s a way of life. Our goal is for members and their families to experience a summer similar to a “Family Summer Camp”. We host multiple social events throughout the season, including an event every night in the heart of the Summer. Our staff works tirelessly to make our members time at Trillium unforgettable. We are confident your favorite event will be the times you spend reminiscing your greatest memories of Trillium with your family!
With access to 26 miles of secluded shoreline, Trillium members can enjoy memorable days of fun and relaxation on Lake Glenville, the highest and largest lake East of the Mississippi and the crown jewel of the Cashiers/Highlands Plateau. The dramatic contrasts of the Blue Ridge Mountains soaring to breathtaking heights above a sparkling expanse of water that plunges to depths of over 100 feet make Lake Glenville a true mountain paradise. Rent a boat and cruise from one of Trillium’s docks to discover cascading waterfalls or a postcard sunset. Hike or boat to sandy banks that line the shores, beckoning you to stop for some relaxing sunning and swimming. Water skiers will revel in thrills of gliding over clear, deep mountain waters, and fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the bounty of small and largemouth bass, walleye, trout and bream.
Lake Glenville is the perfect complement to Trillium’s unique lifestyle.

Trillium offers a competitive form of croquet called “golf” croquet. This easily learned game combines golf putting skills, pool shot skills , and chess strategies in a very social atmosphere. It is a natural carryover sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. It can be played in doubles format or singles, and women compete equally as well as men. Please Join us for wine and wickets each Monday or Thursday afternoon during the season!
The trout streams in the Blue Ridge, Appalachian & Great Smoky mountains of North Carolina host the best fishing streams in the state, with over 3000 miles of stream throughout the region. In most of these trout streams and rivers you can catch all three types of trout; like brook trout, rainbow trout, and brown trout.
Amateurs and professionals alike have fished our waters, and there are numerous options available for anglers of all levels. Beginners may wish to start with an introductory course by one of the region’s excellent fishing schools while the more experienced may head out on their own or join one of the fishing expeditions hosted by experts and sponsored by one of the clubs or organizations.
Some of our neighboring states contain great fly fishing trout waters also, and with our close proximity to Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Georgia, you can use the greater Cashiers area as your base of operations while you explore endless fishing possibilities.

“In retrospect, I believe that the beautiful lake and mountain views drew us in, but it is the wonderful friendships and lifestyles that make us never want to leave. This place is the fruit that life has promised, and I love sharing it with like minded people.” – Brenda Beye
In 1995 Brenda and her husband bought an undeveloped homestead on Lake Glenville. Upon discovering The Landings (now Trillium, but then Signal Ridge), they immediately bought a membership. Within three years they became full time residents.
In 2005, Brenda joined the Trillium Links and Lake Club team as a sales executive. Her natural affinity for people has given her an extensive network of friends and contacts in the area. You’ll find members of her “fan club” throughout Trillium and the Cashiers/Highlands plateau. Her background in finance, and personal experiences in relocating here, makes her a valuable asset to prospective buyers.
Clients have come to value both Brenda’s knowledge of the properties here, and her special attention to details long after the sale has closed. She regularly arranges for deliveries or tradesmen, winterizing or “opening up” of houses and more. She has even been known to snap a winter photo or two of a snow covered home for Christmas cards.
In 2014, Brenda became the owner and broker-in-charge of Trillium Land & Realty Company, specializing in properties in the Trillium Links and Lake Club community and surrounding area. Her office is in the Trillium Sales Center and, as her family points out “pretty much lives there!” Stop in, call, e-mail, or text. You’ll be glad you did.
