With an elevation of 4,280 feet, Beech Mountain Club’s extensive amenities are found atop the highest incorporated town east of the Mississippi. Located in the heart of North Carolina’s High Country, the Club offers spectacular long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. But that’s not all that sets Beech Mountain Club above any other country club you’ll find in the North Carolina mountains.
While our altitude may be lofty, our culture — and our temperatures — aren’t. Temperatures rarely rise above 80 degrees on Beech Mountain, even in the heat of summer. We are an affordable, casual social club that creates and attracts a relaxed, family-oriented, inclusive community where everyone belongs and can enjoy all the exciting activities that our Club and the surrounding mountains offer all year round.
Along with our spectacular views of the mountains of three states, the Club offers some of the most exceptional dining, social and entertainment amenities available anywhere in the High Country.
While our Club is private, it’s not exclusive. You aren’t required to own property on Beech Mountain — anyone who wants to enjoy all that Beech Mountain Club has to offer is welcome to join!

Beech Mountain Club is a private, social club located on beautiful Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Our member families enjoy cool summer temperatures, outstanding amenities, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, winter sports opportunities and the services of a professional staff dedicated to providing our members with all the activities and programs you would expect at a mountain retreat.
Beech Mountain Club’s spectacular 18-hole, ridge-top private golf club boasts magnificent views of mountain ranges throughout North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Originally designed by Willard Byrd, our NC mountain golf course recently finished a renovation extending it to 6,250 yards in length. Playing at nearly one mile high, due to the course’s elevation, our members enjoy temperatures rarely exceeding 80 degrees in a casual, relaxed setting. Our affordable club membership represents one of the best values in the High Country — we have seasonal rates for members, in addition to daily fees for members and their guests. The golf course is open seven days a week from May through October and access is available to members and non-members through the rental of qualified lodging.

With ten state-of-the-art Har-Tru composition clay courts, stadium seating for more than 100 spectators and a fully stocked Pro-Shop, Beech Mountain Club has one of the High Country’s premier tennis facilities. And that’s just the beginning.
USPTA Professionals are on hand daily to help members develop their skills through private tennis lessons, clinics and camps for all ages. Round-robins, inter-club competitions, pro-challenges and family play are just a few of the ways our members enjoy hitting the private tennis club’s courts from May through October. Our private tennis club is accessible to all Club members and their qualified guests, which helps make Club membership one of the best values in the High Country.

Beech Mountain Club Pickleball Center has five dedicated, state-of-the-art local pickleball courts located at the heart of the Club’s recreation campus. Deck seating and a convenient sports café overlook the pickleball courts, along with a covered pavilion for social events. An IPTPA certified pro on-site directs the Club’s program during the summer, which includes private pickleball lessons, free clinics, drop-in play, sponsored tournaments, social events and Drinks & Dinks, as well as special sessions throughout the week. All these amenities are included with your Club membership, making it one of the best values you’ll find anywhere.
Our mile-high location in the NC mountain offers breathtaking views of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, with temperatures that rarely rise higher than 80 degrees. Along with pickleball, Club membership comes with access to state-of-the-art tennis, golf, swimming and fitness amenities, all in a family-oriented community filled with social activities that everyone can enjoy.
Membership at Beech Mountain Club includes access to our Olympic-sized heated outdoor Pool with lap lanes, zero entry and kid’s play features. Surrounded by a fitness center, pickleball and tennis courts, a covered pavilion, playground, day camp and spectacular views of mountains in three states. The Pool is open seven days a week, during the summer season, from 9 am to 6 pm. The Pool is monitored daily by lifeguards and food service is offered on the weekends. The Club offers water aerobics and swimming lessons. Private swim lessons are available for adults and children. Pool membership is open to Club members and their qualified guests.
The air-conditioned Beech Mountain Club Fitness Center is open and available 24 hours a day. Conveniently located on our recreation campus and adjacent to the Pool, the Beech Mountain Club gym has state-of-the-art machines, traditional free weights, a mirrored group exercise room, video workout display, showers and locker rooms.
A certified personal trainer is available by appointment to provide that added incentive and develop a program that helps you achieve your personal goals. Fitness and aerobic classes are available for members and guests, including Zumba, Yoga, Cardio Kickboxing, and Strength and Tone Classes.
There’s also a spa in Beech Mountain Club, offering a selection of spa services to our guests. Spa service appointments are individually scheduled with the provider and include massage, nails, esthetics and waxing. Enjoy some pampering after high country adventure or as a special treat for a friend or family member.

Open to members only, the Ski Lodge, our private ski lodge adjacent to Beech Mountain Resort’s ski slopes, as the fireplace blazing and a newly expanded menu of classic favorites. Equipment storage is available and parking is convenient to the slopes.

From fine dining at our Clubhouse to casual on-the-spot comfort food… the Club has you covered with the best restaurants in Beech Mountain. The High Country boasts some of the best chefs in the southeast and our Club is no exception. Our Executive Chef keeps it fresh and varied with a specialized menu for each of our restaurants.
The Dock serves our Recreation Campus on weekends during the summer season; the ski lodge warms up our members inside and out during the winter. The Clubhouse seats 200 and the ski lodge 73, while the Dock is an open-air eatery.
Catering is available for our members and the Beech Mountain Club is proud to host weddings and private parties. There are two bars in the Clubhouse, each adjacent to an open-air deck for taking in the fantastic long-range views of the surrounding mountains in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Beech Mountain Club is an active, family-oriented community with members participating in “clubs within the Club” covering various interests and social activities.
Supporting our local arts community is very important at the Club. Members enjoy oil painting, watercolor, stained glass, pottery, crochet, knitting and basket-making classes. The Club also provides opportunities for members to showcase their work at the Clubhouse. For those who enjoy art appreciation, a continuing Lunch and Learn Series on the Masters and many other topics is offered during the summer, as well as trips to local galleries and museums. Novice to expert, there is a perfect way to express your art interests.
If Bridge is your game, you’ll find we have classes to help you learn the basics through opportunities for advanced play. Day or evening, social or serious, men’s/women’s or coed, there is a game for you to join. Groups to learn and play Mah-jongg and Canasta are also available as well as a social bocce league and men’s poker group.
Our members also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and biking on our 28+ miles of trails with the best views in the high country. And with two trout-stocked lakes, fishing is a favorite past time on the mountain.
