Nestled on 1,265 acres of rolling picturesque land minutes from the charming Village of Pinehurst, Forest Creek Golf Club offers an unparalleled lifestyle in a private golf club community. The master-planned 750 lot residential development features two Tom Fazio designed golf courses, a stately manor-style Clubhouse, an award winning men’s locker room, tennis facility, state-of-the art exercise room, junior olympic size pool and much more.
Forest Creek Golf Club is truly a way of life. Golf at its finest in an exquisite residential community, featuring first class amenities and fine dining, all nestled around a stunning landscape, with a gracious style that pays homage to the vision of its founders.
“At Forest Creek, we have two distinctively different golf courses in the same environment, but the underlying ground formations – the sand, soil structure, and the pine trees – allowed us to create a distinctive style and two separate golf courses that look like they came from two different states. Both courses at Forest Creek have a reputation of having some of the finest putting surfaces in the game.”- Tom Fazio
The North Course joined the top 100 residential courses in the country upon its opening in 2005. Featuring sprawling sandy waste areas along with deeper and ragged edged bunkers, as well as, a pine barrens feel, causing golfers to draw a parallel to the famed Pine Valley. Perhaps the biggest challenge of the North Course, as well as the most picturesque, is the string of holes (15, 16 and 17) wrapped around a large lake. Players find each hole to be a unique and invigorating experience.
The South Course opened in 1996, patterned after Augusta National, Fazio’s approach was low profile in nature, essentially draping the holes across the land creating an unforced natural appearance. Previously, the South Course was selected by Golf Digest as the third best new course in the country, and Pinehurst Magazine named it the second best golf experience in the Pinehurst area; second only to Pinehurst Course No. 2 based on the votes of area head golf professionals.
There are four practice areas where you can keep your game in tune. The practice range faces North, so you never have to practice with the sun in your eyes. The short game area features true-to-course conditions, whether you’re practicing from the sand or around the greens. The practice green rolls as true and as fast as the greens you’ll face on either the North or South Course. Other practice areas, complete with bunkers and greens, are strategically placed near Village Homes, so you can wander out early in the morning or late in the evening to work on your game.
