Membership at Shadow Wood Country Club

Shadow Wood Country Club is a private country club in Estero on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Members enjoy access to 54 holes of championship golf, two full-amenity Award Winning clubhouses, nine lighted Har-Tru clay tennis courts, three bocce ball courts, a full schedule of social events, and an extraordinary level of personalized service!

Shadow Wood is a private, financially sound, member-owned Club. Both residents and non-residents are invited to apply.

Golf Membership

Full Golf Members at Shadow Wood enjoy unlimited access to all three championship golf courses as well as the tennis, bocce, and social programs plus access to numerous dining venues at Shadow Wood Country Club.

Applicants who purchase a home in Shadow Wood or Shadow Wood Preserve from an active Golf Member who resigns at the time of closing will be eligible to bypass the waiting list and join as a Full Golf Member immediately upon closing.

Golf Waiting List: Shadow Wood County Club has a waiting list for the Golf Membership. Inquire with the Membership Office for specific details regarding timing, privileges, and pricing.

Shadow Wood Country Club offers a unique Golf in Waiting membership for those on the Golf Membership waiting list. Golf in Waiting Members enjoy unlimited golf during the season with the ability to book tee times one day in advance, ensuring Full Golf Members have first priority. They also have access to club events and tournaments, guest privileges, practice facilities, and full off-season golf privileges. This structure allows prospective members to begin enjoying the Shadow Wood golf experience while waiting for Full Golf Membership availability.

Lifestyle Membership

Lifestyle Members at Shadow Wood enjoy unlimited access to 9 clay tennis courts as well as the bocce and social programs plus access to numerous dining venues at Shadow Wood Country Club. In addition, Lifestyle Members can enjoy access to all three Shadow Wood golf courses during the summer months and limited use of the golf practice facilities in season.

Shadow Wood Members enjoy three diverse, championship golf courses, each designated as an Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary. All three golf courses have been renovated by renowned golf course architect, Rees Jones, to offer the best year-round playing conditions in Southwest Florida. The SWGA boasts state-of-the-art golf practice facilities and offers a wide range of programs directed by PGA and LPGA professionals to attract all skill levels in an encouraging environment. Top Tracer technology is available for members to develop their skills, or have fun participating in simulators and social leagues.

The Shadow Wood golf program offers exciting competitive events and social games including weekly men’s and ladies’ days, couples’ events, guest events, and more. Finding a golf game is never hard with the help of the tenured professional golf staff who take an active role to help Members find a group to enjoy the game with.

Coming in 2026: Shadow Wood’s new Lifestyle Center will offer a Resort Style Pool, Poolside Dining & Bar, 6 Indoor Pickleball Courts, New Racquets Pro Shop and a Grab & Go Cafe!

We are thrilled to announce that our Members have voted to approve the building of a highly anticipated Lifestyle Amenity Center, with a projected cost of $22.5 mil. This landmark decision represents a significant investment in our Club’s future and underscores our commitment to providing unparalleled amenities for our vibrant community.

The Lifestyle Amenity Center will enhance the member experience without any member assessment or increase in member costs. It will feature an array of world-class facilities designed to promote health, wellness, leisure, and social interaction. These essential amenities include:

In recent years, we have completed a series of successful renovation projects aimed at enhancing the member experience, including the addition of a new casual dining restaurant, expanded outdoor dining venues, a new golf shop, covered hitting bays with Top Tracer technology, and the renovation of all three golf courses under the direction of renowned architect Rees Jones.

Construction of the Lifestyle Amenity Center is scheduled to begin in early 2025, with anticipated completion in early 2026.
