Welcome to The Ford Field & River Club
Formed by 1,800 acres of storied land and waterways, The Ford Field & River Club is a private residential golf and sporting club community set along Georgia’s great Ogeechee River. Here, families enjoy charming traditions of Southern hospitality paired with modern amenities and year-round outdoor pursuits.
With an ever-agreeable coastal climate, The Ford’s pace ebbs and flows with the tides of the river. Days are spent setting out from the Deepwater Marina, casting the morning away at your favorite fishing spot with your little one, teeing off at your own pace on the Pete Dye championship golf course, saddling up at the beloved Equestrian Center, or engaging up-close with wildlife at the Naturalist Center.

Real Estate at The Ford Field & River Club
To call The Ford home means claiming a one-of-a-kind expression of Southern style. Five enclaves—comprising 400 residences and homesites—charm with regional architecture, some New Orleans French Colonials, others grand Southern manors and Charleston-style garden homes.

Golf at The Ford Field & River Club
When the legendary World Golf Hall of Fame architect, Pete Dye, designed the 250-acre golf course at The Ford Field & River Club, his goal was to create a course that was fun and playable for golfers at every skill level. The result is an award-winning design course shaped by coastline, meadows and freshwater lakes, featuring a parkland-style front nine and a links-style back nine.
An Exclusive Golf Experience
With no tee times, players can enjoy an unhurried game at the time and pace they choose. Thoughtfully designed for all ages and abilities, it connects you to the game and the landscape, offering a sanctuary for both quiet reflection and spirited play.

Amenities at The Ford Field & River Club
At The Ford, a deepwater marina, breeze-rippled lakes, miles of riverfront trails and acres of lush open land offer an idyllic setting for sporting endeavors every day of the year. Whether members want to pursue a long-held passion, discover a new talent or strive for wellness, The Ford answers the call.
The Main House
Completed in 1937 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 7,000-square-foot Greek Revival estate was Clara and Henry Ford’s lowcountry dream home. It now serves as a community centerpiece with a riverfront pool and deck, manicured gardens, formal living and dining rooms and five beautifully appointed guest suites.
Equestrian Center
Set amidst towering live oaks and lush pastures near The Ford’s main entrance, the picturesque Equestrian Center is a private boarding facility designed for both horse and rider.
Deepwater Marina
First designed to house Henry Ford’s beloved cruiser, Little Lulu, The Ford’s 36-slip Deepwater Marina on the Ogeechee River accommodates boats up to 65 feet. The marina is the ideal launching point for fishing expeditions and self-guided explorations of the river, its tributaries and the open waters of the Atlantic, which is just 20 miles away.
The Oyster House
The Oyster House is home to The Ford’s Naturalist Center and is without a doubt one of the most popular places on the property for members of all ages. In addition to being the base for the on-staff naturalist, the Oyster House–originally Henry Ford’s cabin—is the setting for monthly member Oyster Roasts, and casual gatherings.
The Clubhouse
A grand design inspired by traditional Southern estates, the 6,000-square-foot Clubhouse boasts four large Grecian columns and a wide second-story covered porch that overlooks a 670-feet oak alleé formed by 250-year-old trees.
Lake Dye Grill
Located adjacent to the Lake Dye Pool, the Grill serves up casual fare like sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers and fries—making it a perfect spot to kick back between swims or post-workout.
The Spa
Located near The Main House, The Spa offers seven treatment rooms and personalized massages, body treatments, hydrotherapy as well as customized facials, plus manicures, pedicures and a full-service hair salon.
Sports Barn & Lake Dye Pool
The Sports Barn is home to an expansive indoor gym facility and neighbors the Lake Dye Pool, multiple sports courts and a kids playground—all of which provide a lively gathering place for Ford members of all ages.
Dorchester Shooting Preserve
Members are afforded privileged access to the nearby 5,000-acre Dorchester Shooting Preserve, which offers sporting clays and upland wing shooting.
The Great Lawn
Located at the center of Silk Hope—The Ford’s latest community—this central park includes a Walking Garden, pavilion, sitting areas, ample game-ready field space and a number of orange trees.
