Richard “Dicky” Mopper, a lifelong resident of Savannah, is a prominent real estate broker known for his passion for historic preservation and community revitalization. For over 50 years, he has been dedicated to Savannah’s real estate industry, earning life membership in the Distinguished Sales Society and roles in local, state, and National Board of Realtors®. Dicky founded the Downtown Business Association, receiving their Successful Urban Savannah Independent Entrepreneur award in 2005. His community service accolades include the American Diabetes Foundation Southern Regional Award. He has served on boards such as the Savannah Arts Academy Foundation, Historic Review Board, Historic Savannah Foundation, and The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. He was also the chairman of the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority and co-chair of the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum. Dicky has participated in some of the city’s most remarkable real estate projects, including the restoration and conversion of Lowden Place, the ongoing commercial revitalization and urbanization of Broughton Street. Ranked among Georgia’s top 75 real estate agents over the past five years, Dicky serves on the Downtown Business Association board and has been a Private Office Advisor with Engel & Völkers since 2016, connecting with top global real estate agents.
