Wilderness Country Club is one of the oldest and most select private clubs in Southwest Florida. Our residential country club attracts members who enjoy superb golf, tennis and dining facilities in a smaller, more intimate community. Member owned and controlled since its inception, Wilderness remains a self-governed community with an active and dedicated Board of Directors who are elected by the residents.

Homes between $350,000 and $800,000

From the moment you enter the front gate at Wilderness Country Club, you will be surrounded by beautiful landscaping which envelopes the golf course and low-profile condominium residences. Each building is carefully positioned to offer sweeping views of fairways, tropical landscapes and greens. Many of the two and three-bedroom units have been fully refurbished for resale while others are like a blank canvas allowing purchasers to use their imagination and create a residence that suits their unique needs. Individual condominiums range from approximately 1,700 square feet to more than 3,000 square feet of living space and feature an abundance of glass that brings the striking beauty inside. Each residence comes with its own dedicated golf cart and golf cart garage, and many offer a wood-burning fireplace. With only 300 residences, friendships are easily made and newcomers feel immediately welcome in a setting where everyone cares deeply about the lush tropical paradise in which they live.

World-Class Arthur Hills Golf Course

Established in 1974, and totally refurbished in 2004, the golf course at Wilderness is considered one of the premiere golfing venues in Southwest Florida. Members working to perfect their game have access to a practice area featuring driving range, short game area and putting green with weekly clinics and private lessons offered by two Master Professionals of the Professional Golfers Association of America.

Our Arthur Hills-designed 18-hole golf course winds its way through our 200 forested acres attracting golfing purists for both competitive and fun play with deep bunkers and mounded greens throughout the course. Along the course you will see tall pines, sabal palms and numerous lakes. The championship tees are set at 6,652 yards and will test a player’s skills from the opening tee shot to the final hole.

The Ladies’ and Men’s Golf Associations at Wilderness are very active and offer weekly organized play which helps members feel welcome while creating new and long-lasting friendships.

Court Sports at Wilderness Country Club

Wilderness Country Club has an active tennis, bocce, and croquet community. Members have access to Har-Tru tennis and bocce courts located in a beautiful wooded setting with lessons and matches led by an on-site U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) Certified Elite Professional. Instruction is provided to both adults and children in a fashion to make learning and playing fun and fulfilling.

Amenities & Activities at Wilderness Country Club

Our first-class amenities include the classically designed Arthur Hills 18-hole golf course, four Har-Tru tennis courts, five heated salt water swimming pools and a full-service clubhouse with formal and informal dining for up to 200 people. Members also enjoy the 5-acre Frank Park featuring a dog park, four Har-Tru bocce courts, a regulation size croquet court and herb and vegetable gardens as well as dozens of specimen trees from all over the world. Members enjoy a year-round calendar of fun social events and activities, including biking, fishing, bird watching and playing games like Mahjong and bridge.

The Wilderness Members FORUM, Great Decisions and book club groups offer thought-provoking presentations and panel discussions on foreign policy, politics, art, music, history and literature.

Wilderness Country Club has been designated as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary where a wide variety of birds and wildlife abound. Numerous specimen plants, shrubs and trees dot the property and more than 80 species of birds, including Bald Eagles, Ospreys, White Ibis, Anhingas, Great Blue Herons, Red Shouldered Hawks, Barred Owls and Swallow Tail Kites, have been documented on the site.

Fitness

Wilderness Country Club members and residents can participate in biweekly Pilates and water aerobics classes on site with at-home personal training also available.

Our members also receive a special rate at the prestigious Briggs Wellness Center at 399 Ninth St. N., a short distance from Wilderness. This 40,000-square-foot facility is considered one of the largest and best equipped fitness centers in Southwest Florida with a full range of training and classes for all levels.

Member Dining at Wilderness Country Club

Reminiscent of Old Florida, our clubhouse sits on the second highest point in Collier County. Inside the clubhouse, our members experience luxury food and beverage with both formal and informal dining throughout the year.

Our Food & Beverage Team offers numerous culinary delights, including pizza specially prepared on our outdoor brick oven and a range of gluten free and vegan items. The Wilderness Wine Club allows wine enthusiasts to sample new and unique wines from around the world and purchase them by the case.

Members wishing to host a wedding or other private party may do so for events up to 130 people.
