A Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, Crown Colony is the first golf course in the nation to use hybrid paspalum grasses on all 18 holes. We offer numerous member activities, outstanding professional services, great membership and attractive membership packages.

One of the leading private clubs in the area, Crown Colony offers its members the environment, facilities and services that satisfy their golf, social and business needs. Our clubhouse, golf shop and golf course employees are staffed with carefully selected and trained employees whose goal is to make our members and guest feel special.

Golf at The Golf Club at Crown Colony

We are a private golf and social club located in a non-bundled gated community offering resident and non-resident memberships. Our 18 hole championship course, designed by world renowned course architect Ron Garl, winds among 21 clear water lakes, protected natural wetlands and is surrounded by mature pines and stately oaks.

You will share your round with a gallery of birds and other wildlife on this Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Course. We were the first US golf course to use Seashore Paspalum hybrid grass throughout our facility which reduces water usage to maintain durability and course aesthetics.

Players of all levels will discover their own sweet spot from amongst the 8 sets of tees ranging from 4600 to 7000 yards.

The club has maintained a small membership to ensure tee time availability even in high season.

There are multiple men’s, ladies’ (9 and 18 hole), mixed and guest golf events throughout the season (see below for more details). Beyond our own competitions we have also hosted the Society of Seniors golf events multiple times.

From May through October enjoy reciprocal play throughout Southwest Florida’s other top clubs.

Clubhouse & Dining at The Golf Club at Crown Colony

Members enjoy the 18,000 square foot clubhouse which serves as the main hub for most of our member activities. It serves as the central nerve center attracting our members to stay and reside for meals and social events. It also serves as a second home to our membership base due to the warm welcome you receive when you are here! It has a fully stocked bar to serve members and guests needs. Our Executive Chef strives to provide titillating treats from fine dining, theme buffets, home-style meals and pub style menu. Our food and beverage staff is committed to providing excellence in service by knowing members by their names, which makes for a comfortable and casual atmosphere.

What sets us apart from other clubs are our members. Our members are down to earth and friendly. Don’t be surprised on a Wednesday night when you’re asked to get up and dance or join another couple for dinner. Our members are eager to play, eager to talk and laugh, and eager to meet new ones.

The clubhouse also provides for numerous groups including men’s and ladies’ bridge, couple’s bridge, Texas Hold’em, and Mah Jongg. The Administration Office is located in the Clubhouse which helps in providing membership transfers, maintaining member files, and the day-to-day administration of The Golf Club at Crown Colony.

The Golf Club at Crown Colony Membership Approves Plan for Master Plan Renovation!

In late April, the membership of The Golf Club at Crown Colony voted unanimously to invest capital into the golf course, club and amenities. The master plan renovation will cost $12 million dollars and is set to begin the spring of 2026.

Below you will find details of the master plan:

• Complete golf course renovation with everything new – irrigation, drainage, capillary concrete bunkers, tees, fairways, greens, roughs, cart paths, turf, etc.
• Wall to wall Platinum Paspalum turf
• Hole 16 will convert from a par 4 to par 5 – (already plays like a par 5…just ask the members!)
• Hole 18 will convert from a par 5 to par 4 – freeing up 2 acres of space for reimagined and robust practice facility with dedicated full-length, two-sided range, short game and putting areas.
• The new practice facility will also have two sides at front and back for practice/warm-up on one side and private lessons on the other.
• New outdoor pavilion for food and beverage located directly behind the new 18th green – roughly 4,000 square feet – new bar, televisions, fans, heaters, etc.
• Additional rest room facilities throughout the campus.
• Planned bocce in the event lawn (existing putting green will become event lawn with room for bocce and cornhole.
• Member Assessments: Full Golf Members – $15,000; Sports Members – $9750; Social Members – $2,500
• New resident incentive: If you buy a home and join The Golf Club at Crown Colony before the end of 2024, you will receive a $10,000 credit toward initiation.
