With less than 275 Full Golf Memberships, Members of The Founders Golf Club enjoy the coveted privilege of year-round golf with flexible and easy access to tee times. Set within the lush, sculpted surroundings of this private gated community, the 18-hole, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. signature course honors the native Florida landscape, and engages the strategic thinking of golfers at all skill levels. MEMBERSHIP OFFERINGS
Signature Golf Memberships
Membership at our Signature level includes unlimited use of our 18-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course paying cart fee Only. Walking is always available and Golf Members have access to our on-staff caddies, unlimited access to the practice range offering complimentary usage of Pro V1 balls, a private locker in the well-appointed Membership Golf Hall locker room, golf club storage, towel service, shoe cleaning, complimentary bottled water, fruit and coffee, all for no additional fees. Additionally, access to the 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness facility, Pilates, Yoga and tennis clinics are also included. Casual dining in our Grille Room, our expansive back Verandah or more formal dining in the Main Hall are available with open invitation to all Club events and activities.
Associate Golf Membership
Membership at our Associate level provides access for twelve (12) 18-hole rounds of cart fee only golf from November through April. Associate Golf Members also enjoy unlimited golf access from May to October and use of all additional Club amenities mentioned above throughout the entire year.
Social Memberships
Social Members have access to all non-golf Club amenities listed above year-round and may play golf from May through October for a reduced fee. Participation in all social Club amenities, activities and events is highly encouraged.
Golf at The Founders Golf Club
Following the ancient contours of traditional Scottish Links courses, The Founders Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course takes its cues from the gently rolling terrain. Set against a backdrop of centuries-old oaks, pines and palms and highlighted by a natural buffer of lush, untamed landscape, the 7,094-yard, par 72 layout offers a dynamic route along groomed fairways, tranquil lakes and unspoiled wetlands. Each hole is sculpted in harmony with the natural beauty of the landscape to elevate the challenge and exhilaration of play. The course is a “core” design, where golfers cross no roads during play and where homes are carefully set back from the field of play.
With our low-density Membership, tee times are recommended but readily available, and Members enjoy the luxury of on-site staff for caddie services. In addition, the Club sports a well-proportioned golf shop, staffed with 3 PGA professionals who help each Member reach for the top of his or her game!
Dining at The Founders Golf Club
Distinctive, Understated Elegance
The traditional clubhouse echoes the eloquence of the ancient game with quiet intimacy and understated luxury.
The grand, 24,000-square-foot Golf Hall, includes a fine dining room, bar and grille, private dining room and outdoor verandah overlooking an oak hammock and the 18th green.
Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness facility, golf shop and fully equipped men’s and women’s locker facilities with generous lounge areas.
Gillespie Grille Room
Situated off the back veranda, trimmed in dark mahogany, with an inviting décor; the Gillespie Grille room is open daily, except Mondays, offering traditional, pub-style dining. The beautifully appointed bar and large fireplace provide wonderful areas to accommodate socializing after golfing or prior to dinner service in the Main Dining Hall. Over the years, the Grille room has been host to the beginnings of many a new friendship.
Scotsman Room
For those evenings one wants to indulge in classic cuisine, prepared by the highly acclaimed culinary staff, there is no better venue than The Scotsman Room. Sophisticated décor, attentive service and sweeping views through the many luxuriously draped windows, set the perfect mood for an unforgettable evening. Feast on an ever changing list of daily creations as you share stories and create memories you will cherish for years to come.
