Golf Memberships
Full Membership of the Bay Club entitles you to everything the Club has to offer whether you are a resident or non-resident.,
- Golf a championship 18-hole course designed by PGA Tour professional Brad Faxon in conjunction with golf course architect Brad Booth. Our course is the only one in Massachusetts to have received a Signature Sanctuary Certified Audubon International status for its comprehensive management plan to sustain the natural environmental habitat. Silver Signature status recognizes the club’s commitment to habitat enhancement and wildlife conservation as well as efficient water and energy use.
- Offering a multitude of racquets sports including tennis on the four Har-Tru courts, two pickleball courts and platform tennis (all year long) all located in our racquet sports center.
- Aquatics in our pool complex features a Junior Olympic pool with lap lanes and zero-depth, child friendly access. There is also a separate kiddie pool and a snack bar.
- Fitness activities in our Sports and Activities Center features year-round access to a complete state-of the-art gym, aerobics and other fitness classes and locker rooms with steam rooms. This center is also the central base for our many cultural activities. Adjacent to our Sports and Recreation Center is our Basketball court.
- Gourmet Dining at our intimate Golf House restaurant includes summer dining al fresco on the screened patio overlooking the first fairway.
- Cultural and special events all year long with everything from cooking classes in our demonstration kitchen, outings to the symphony and museums, to holiday and seasonal flower arranging classes and our well attended book club. This diverse range of activities encompasses all the South Coast has to offer including guided kayak trips, shopping trips and tours of local vineyards. There are also specialized trips to Boston, Providence, and points beyond for special events.
- Club Seahorse is our comprehensive summer program for children which features professionally supervised use of all these facilities and more.
- Social activities featuring a wide variety of receptions, parties, and other special events. Some of our most popular are guest chef nights at the Golf House restaurant and Family Nights all summer at the pool.

Social Memberships
This is an all-encompassing membership entitling the members to unlimited use of all Bay Club Racquets, Fitness, Swimming and Social facilities as well as the Golf House restaurant. Access to the golf course or golf practice facilities is excluded.

The Bay Club encompasses 625 acres (with 300 acres of adjacent conservation land) in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. The Country Club and golf course occupy 200 acres, while the six residential villages of 180+ home-sites and 200 acres of deed-restricted open space compromise the balance. Golf at The Bay Club at Mattapoisett
Perfectly manicured bent grass fairways and greens and British-style fescue are hallmarks of this classic New England parkland course.
Offering one of the area’s finest country club and golf experiences, the parkland design provides the low handicap golfer with a true test of the game while also providing an excellent range of course layouts for both competition and the recreational golfer. The Club’s Par 71 Championship golf course was designed by PGA Tour Professional, Brad Faxon in conjunction with golf course architect, Brad Booth. The course offers six layouts ranging from 5,080 to 7,008 yards. The Bay Club is the only Signature Sanctuary Certified Audubon International property in Massachusetts, with 88% of the original forest still preserved.
In the colder months, we offer a heated Winter Golf Center complete with hitting bays, putting green, chipping stations and a golf simulator. Programs are tailored for the youngest players through the more serious, low handicap golfer as well as those just beginning to enjoy the game. In addition to a variety of tournaments and golf events throughout the playing season, the professional staff organizes several winter golf school trips and outings for both men and women. Together with our indoor winter practice facility, golf conditioning classes and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness Assessments at the Sports and Activities Center, golf can be a year-round activity for Bay Club Members.

Tennis
Tennis clinics on every aspect of the game and private lessons with the Club’s professional staff provide members with many opportunities for skill improvement.
The weekly tennis schedule includes conditioning sessions; round robins for men, women and juniors; as well as mixed sessions for men and women. Special events including mixed socials and member-guest events provide competitive fun for players. The new inter-club league will kick-off for 2023!
Paddle Tennis
Our Paddle Tennis courts are available all year long, with the official season being late fall to early spring. Paddle provides a great healthy outdoor workout even in the coldest months of winter. And for those really chilly days, our cozy warming hut has its own fireplace.
Pickleball
The Pickleball courts are located adjacent to the tennis courts and are available year-round. Pickleball has recorded an increase in participation of 85% in the past year. More Americans played pickleball for the first time in 2022 (4.1 million) than golf! Don’t be left out, grab a paddle, and come and play!
Croquet
Bay Club members and guests can play croquet on a pristinely manicured playing court located alongside the tennis courts at the Sports and Activities Center. The primary games played are American Six Wicket Croquet and Golf Croquet. All the necessary equipment is provided. Members enjoy Toast and Tally events during the season.
Fitness Center
More than a building, the Sports and Activities Center is a 10,000-square foot training facility where members focus on lifelong wellness. The building includes aerobics, weight and cardio rooms for classes or independent fitness programs, along with full locker rooms with steam rooms and showers.
The heart of recreation and fitness, it offers a full schedule of exercise classes such as yoga, cardio/sculpt, HIIT, customized personal training sessions; and TPI assessments. Before a golf or tennis game, members enjoy a workout in the fully equipped, state-of-the-art gym or join one of the many classes led by certified fitness professionals.
Social
The social scene at the Bay Club offers a variety of activities for everyone in the family. Whether it’s bingo by the pool, a themed dinner, or cooking demonstration we aim to create lasting memories and fun for all. Some of our favorite events include our Chef’s Table Series Dinner in Unusual Places, Nine and Dine outings, and our show stopping annual Fourth of July Celebration, complete with games, fantastic food, and fireworks. We also offer weekly events such as Mah Jongg, Canasta, and yak and yarn.
Family Fun
What better way to spend the summer than at Club Seahorse! We offer 8 weeks of fun and activities for children ages 4-10. Some of the fun includes tennis and golf lessons, free swim, and arts and crafts. Every Thursday night throughout the summer we host Family Game nights. Have a bite to eat at the Summer Shack, float in the pool, and play a round of bingo or two! We also offer a variety of tennis and golf clinics for all our junior members to help them advance their game.
Dining at The Bay Club at Mattapoisett
Fine Dining
The Golf House at the Bay Club with its light-filled atrium is a charming place to gather with friends and take in views of the first fairway and club surroundings. At night, the intimate setting is a perfect backdrop for enjoying our culinary team’s wonderful menus which incorporate ingredients from local farmers, fishermen, and purveyors of fine foods to create cuisine unmatched in the area. In the milder months, lunch or dinner on the patio offers views of the course and the waterfall adjacent to the practice green.
To further appeal to the eclectic tastes of our members, the Club’s creative food and beverage staff arranges wine dinners, scotch tastings, dinner-and-a-movie nights, dinners in unusual places, and international theme dinners.
Halfway Café
Overlooking the largest of three ponds on the golf course and nestled between the ninth and tenth holes, the Halfway Cafe offers a refreshment stop for golfers and a place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the course for every member. The Cafe’s patio is a popular spot for private parties catered by our expert food and beverage staff.
Summer Shack
Adjacent to the swimming pool, the Summer Shack is a family favorite. The Summer Shack appeals to the tastes of the ice cream-seeking younger set as well as those members focusing on meals designed for health and wellness. This is the spot to relax and unwind!
