Ranked 4th of Residential Courses in South Florida and 53rd Nationwide by Golfweek Magazine 2018.
Stretching along ocean and river, this 7,088-yard, par 72 course is essentially your own private 18 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf. Of the many private Florida golf club communities, Sailfish Point is truly exceptional. This is golf on your terms and in your time.
First completed in 1981, this extraordinary golf course was completely renovated by its original designer, Jack Nicklaus, in 2007. Every picturesque hole boasts a water view, be it ocean, river, or pond, with many holes providing views of all three surrounding bodies of water—the Atlantic Ocean, Indian River, and St. Lucie Inlet. Balmy Gulf Stream breezes ensure comfort and variety in every round.
At the Sailfish Point Clubhouse, play begins just steps from the short-game practice area, where golfers hone their skills, and then move to the driving range for a few practice swings before teeing up on the first hole. Five tee boxes at each hole allow players at every skill level to enjoy the course. Lush fairways move along the island to culminate in the par-4 signature 18th hole that has been dubbed “Window on the Sea” for its remarkable ocean view.
Four full-time teaching professionals readily assist golfers who wish to better their game, and a fully outfitted pro shop offers a full selection of golf equipment and gear. All of this and more make Sailfish Point one of the most desirable of all Florida oceanfront golf communities.
Play is challenging, varied, and always interesting. Many of our luxury estate homes are linkside, giving you easy access to play or watch when you want!
Within the 520 residences that complete the private, 532-acre community, Sailfish Point offers so much variety that there is sure to be a home that is a perfect fit. From spacious waterfront estates and home sites to intimate oceanfront condos, villas and town homes with private docks—almost every home is waterfront property or overlooks the golf course. Sailfish Point homes and condos are individual in style and arrangement, while all are built to the exacting standards of this luxurious private sea island community near Hutchinson Island and Stuart, Florida. Having represented Sailfish Point in its real estate endeavors since 1979, Sailfish Point Realty has a long-standing reputation for quality and excellence in luxury real estate, complimented by unparalleled local market expertise. At Sailfish Point, there is, quite literally, water everywhere. The waters of the Gulf Stream teem with dolphin, wahoo, and kingfish in addition to the celebrated local sailfish. And for light-tackle anglers, the St. Lucie Inlet and the Indian River offer up tarpon, snook, redfish, and sea trout.
The Sailfish Point Marina and Yacht Club is one of the largest bulkheaded, privately owned marinas in Florida. The private, full-service, deepwater marina offers 77 slips and can accommodate vessels up to 125 feet in length. An additional 45 dry slips are available for personal watercraft and boats up to 27 feet to be stored on trailers in the parking lot, with the Marina staff providing launch and recovery services. The easy access and incredible quality of the Sailfish Point Marina and Yacht Club prompted Links magazine to name it one of seven “Best for Boating” communities—selected from premier properties all across the country.
Charters, private cruises, day trips and fishing tournaments can all be arranged through the professional staff. Whether they fish or just cruise, most residents appreciate the fast access to water. With the Bahamas only 75 miles to the east, many enjoy a fun cruise to the islands. Others cruise on the Indian River lagoon, the St. Lucie River or through the Okeechobee Waterway to the Gulf of Mexico for a day trip. Residents love their life on the coast at Sailfish Point.
Five miles of shoreline stretch along the Atlantic, St. Lucie Inlet, and the Indian River, surrounding the Sailfish Point community with clear, scenic, navigable waters. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, those dazzling turquoise waters provide the perfect respite or playground to residents of our community.
Sailfish Point residents often choose a cabana or lounge chair for a lazy morning read on the beach. Or with just a call to the waiter, a tasty lunch or refreshing drink appears to ensure uninterrupted oceanside enjoyment.
The resident Beach Master not only assures Sailfish Point’s mile-and-a-half private beach is clean and safe, he offers fishing tips and helps residents fully enjoy the gorgeous stretch of sand and surf.
Nothing better than a day at the private clubhouse pool
Even though most homes in Sailfish Point have private pools, there is something great about the camaraderie at the clubhouse pool. With its wide decks, cheerful shade umbrellas, decorative pergolas, cozy chairs, and ocean views, the Clubhouse Pool is often the site of poolside parties—planned or spontaneous.
