Full Golf

With a Full Golf Membership at Rio Verde Country Club, you get everything you need for a complete golf experience. Enjoy unlimited access to the 36-hole, walkable courses with beautifully maintained fairways and greens. Take advantage of our newly renovated practice facilities, including a driving range, putting greens, chipping green, and short game area.

You’ll also be part of a vibrant golf community with various groups and leagues to join. The Box Bar Grille and Verde Pub offer fantastic dining and social events.

Non-Resident Golf

For those living outside the Rio Verde Community, the Non-Resident Golf Membership provides an excellent way to enjoy the amenities of the club. You’ll have access to 36-holes of walkable golf, plus the complete practice facilities, and full access to the clubhouse and the club’s calendar of events.

Non-Resident Social

For those living outside the Rio Verde community, the Non-Resident Social Membership offers a welcoming way to stay connected to the club. Enjoy full access to the clubhouse dining venues, social events, and the many activities that bring the club community together.

Golf at Rio Verde Country Club

Rio Verde Country Club offers two 18-hole courses, Quail Run and White Wing, each catering to golfers of all skill levels. These courses blend traditional and links-style challenges against the backdrop of stunning mountain and Tonto National Forest vistas.

PGA-certified professionals provide personalized instruction and a variety of engaging activities. The well-stocked Pro Shop features member discounts, special orders, and demo days with vendors. Members also enjoy access to over 200 Troon golf courses worldwide through the Troon Privé and Troon Advantage programs.

White Wing

White Wing brings a modern links-style challenge with rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, and dynamic greens. Its open, undulating terrain invites golfers to test their precision and strategy, offering a refreshing contrast to traditional desert golf while preserving breathtaking desert landscapes and mountain vistas.

Quail Run

Quail Run presents a more traditional design, with lush fairways and a classic feel uncommon in a desert setting. This course offers a forgiving yet enjoyable layout, perfect for golfers seeking a more relaxed round. Renovations are underway to elevate Quail Run’s playability, set for completion in Fall 2025.

Join the active Couples Golf Association, Men’s Golf Association, or one of the area’s largest Women’s Golf Associations, offering both 9-hole and 18-hole options. A tribute to the history of Rio Verde, the Box Bar Grille is named after the Box Bar Ranch, which once stood where the club flourishes today. The Verde Pub

For a laid-back meal or a refreshing drink after a day on the greens, The Verde Pub is your go-to destination. The Sundance Room

Planning a larger event or celebration? The Sundance Room offers seating for up to 250 guests and includes a full bar, removable dance floor, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment. Meet Chef Nery Palma

Rio Verde is proud to have Executive Chef Nery Palma leading the culinary team. A certified executive chef with the American Culinary Federation, Chef Palma brings over 35 years of experience to the table, including more than a decade in the country club industry. Since joining us in 2021, he has continued his award-winning streak, being named “Chef of the Year” by Culinaire International and recognized among the top 20 chefs in the Valley by “Flavor of Phoenix”.

Pickleball

Pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports, has a dedicated following in our community. Rio Verde boasts four courts, with the ability to flex to six using a tennis court, complete with paddles and balls for guests and those eager to give it a try. Even those with no prior experience with paddles find joy in playing for the sheer pleasure, exercise, and laughter it brings. Whether you’re looking for casual play or competitive tournaments, Rio Verde has something for everyone. The courts are always buzzing with games and friendly groups, making it a vibrant hub for pickleball enthusia.

Tennis

Rio Verde boasts six Nova’ProBounce tennis courts, two of which are illuminated, providing ample opportunities for both casual games with friends and competitive play. The tennis club offers a range of activities, including ranked or rated play during the week, team travel, and club tournaments. The club also hosts frequent mixed-doubles events followed by popular potlucks. Rio Verde’s vibrant tennis community welcomes all residents of the Verdes and surrounding communities to join the tennis club.

Continual Learning

Rio Verde actively engages its community through a rich program of lectures and classes. Residents can participate in forums hosted by Arizona State University, delve into spiritual topics with the Community Church, prioritize their health with Community Association events, and expand their artistic horizons with the Verdes Art League and Phoenix Art Museum. Bocce

Rio’s 2,500 square foot Fitness Center offers top-of-the-line equipment for a healthy workout. Personal Trainers are available to help you develop and maintain the right regimen, while Massage therapy is conveniently located just down the hall. Rio Verde fitness classes are popular and offered six days a week. They cater to all levels with classes in Water Workouts, Pilates, Yoga, Strength, Flexibility, and Balance. There’s something for everyone!

Aquatics

Rio Verde’s resort-style heated pool and spa are beautifully landscaped with a waterfall, colorful plantings, and night lighting. Relax in the lap lanes, enjoy a free-swim area, participate in water-aerobics classes, or play twilight volleyball. There’s also ample deck space to soak up the sun.

Art

Rio Verde’s arts and crafts community thrives in the Community Center’s Art Room. The community center proudly displays residents’ artwork in its display cases, and the Art League organizes a highly anticipated annual sale. Additionally, the on-site art studio provides professionally guided classes in drawing and painting, complete with ample space for multiple easels. Learn from local artists the art of crafting decorative gourds, wooden sculptures, and jewelry. Rio Verde is an ideal destination for those seeking a unique and enriching experience.

Saddle Club

The Rio Verde Saddle Club, a member-owned, non-profit organization established in 1979, offers a unique experience for horse enthusiasts. Nestled at the historic Rio Verde Box Bar Ranch, the club provides a range of facilities and full-time care for its members’ horses. These include a spacious fourteen-stall barn, spacious outside pens, riding and exercise arenas, a well-equipped tack room, and a convenient feed and hay storage shed.

To ensure the well-being of the horses, the club contracts with an experienced wrangler and caretaker who provides essential services such as feeding, stall cleaning, on-site security, and general facility maintenance. Additionally, the club offers access to miles of excellent trails within the adjoining Tonto National Forest and county parks, providing ample opportunities for horseback riding and exploration.

The Verde River is easily crossed on horseback most of the year, offering a scenic and enjoyable way to travel. Riders can also venture into the mountains and desert washes, discovering a variety of trails that cater to different skill levels. The club’s location provides breathtaking scenic vistas and panoramic views, allowing members to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region.

Beyond the equestrian activities, the Rio Verde Saddle Club offers a welcoming atmosphere for members and their families. They can enjoy ranch cookouts and various social events throughout the year, creating a sense of community and camaraderie.
