Golf Life Navigators’ CEO Jason Becker To Engage Elected Leaders on April 25, at National Golf Day 2018, in Washington, D.C.
Becker joins PGA President Paul Levy at golf industry’s most high-profile government affairs event
Naples, Florida – When a coalition of golf’s leading associations and industry partners converge on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., for National Golf Day on April 25, Golf Life Navigators’ CEO Jason Becker will be among a select group of PGA Members – led by PGA President Paul Levy – meeting with Members of Congress, the Executive Branch and federal agencies to discuss the game’s impressive economy.
The PGA of America, one of the largest organizations in sports, invited Becker from among its nearly 29,000 Professionals to participate in the 11th annual National Golf Day. Becker, who along with PGA Member Lynn Josephson founded Golf Life Navigators in the summer of 2014, will be among those representing golf’s 15,000-plus diverse businesses, two million jobs impacted, tax revenue creation and tourism value.
“I am tremendously honored to represent the PGA of America and Golf Life Navigators at our industry’s most high-profile government affairs event,” said Becker, 37, who has helped guide Golf Life Navigators to recently expand its business beyond Florida to three other golf-rich states – Arizona, North Carolina and South Carolina.
“We will have the opportunity to inform our leaders in Washington, that one in 75 U.S. jobs is impacted by golf, and that the industry plays a significant role in stimulating our economy nationwide. That is very exciting for me as a PGA Member and as an entrepreneur.”
In April 2017, National Golf Day was the most successful to date with a record 175 Congressional meetings scheduled in one day. More than 60 organizations from within the golf industry participated in the week’s activities.
Darrell Crall, Chief Operating Officer of the PGA of America, explained that PGA Professionals will have an especially important role on Capitol Hill. “The PGA of America is proud that PGA President Paul Levy, along with fellow PGA Members Jason Becker, Bob Dolan and Jim Dorman, will represent the Association in our Nation’s Capital, as they highlight the significant impact golf has on the economy with several key members of our government.”
Geoff Lofstead, Executive Director of the South Florida PGA Section, has participated in Florida Golf Day, in the state capital of Tallahassee, for the past seven years. He is keenly aware of the importance of job creation and job growth to our elected leaders.
“Jason’s entrepreneurial spirit and his efforts to create and grow a company that has resulted in meaningful employment for others is part of the message that our elected leaders will love hearing,” said Lofstead. “Jason is another great example of how the thousands of small businesses in the golf industry contribute so significantly to our nation’s economy.”
