Originally a Florida native, Pegi Austin was raised on Long Island but decided to return home to the Sunshine State in 1986. Working in banking and Commercial Lending for over 20 years, she switched careers and became the Membership Director at The Yacht & Country Club in Stuart, FL. Three years later Pegi was lucky enough to “come on board” to Piper’s Landing Yacht & Country Club. Pegi received her CMP designation (Certified Marketing Professional) in 2015 and is a member of the PCMA organization.
The tennis program at Piper’s Landing allows for many different levels of players to enjoy a good game. To create a welcoming environment, our five Har-Tru® Courts are impeccably maintained and open day or night, framed with the latest technology in lighting management.
Improve your game with a vast array of clinics, private or semi-private lessons, and relax in the knowledge that such a small number of residences means that a singles or doubles game at your level is just a phone call away.
Just like our golfers, our tennis players fall into a wide range: 2.5 to 4.0. We have a 3.5 ladies team that plays Wednesdays, and another ladies team that competes against other clubs in the area. Our men also compete against other clubs.
For those who want to have a little fun together, we have some mixed socials, and for those who want to be a little more competitive, our new stadium court provides the perfect environment for tournaments.
Our deep-water, naturally protected yacht basin is one of the safest from hazardous weather and most accessible on Florida’s entire east coast. From your slip, you can sail into the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean.
Historically known as the Sailfish Capital of the World, our waters provide some of the best fishing in Florida because of a large, unique estuary in the Indian River Lagoon, famous since the turn of the 20th century.
Our yacht basin underwent a $1 million reconstruction in 2007, including a dredge to 6’ Mean Low Water level (MLW). It consists of 49 slips that can accommodate boats from 25’ to 85’. Our harbor is considered by many South Florida skippers as one of the best along the state’s coasts.
The reasons they give: Location. Location. Location. A harbor that has been naturally protected for hundreds of years, yet has excellent water access, is a rare combination in Florida.
