Golf at Ironwood Country Club
Test your golf skills on either of Ironwood Country Club’s two private 18-hole courses. Located in Palm Desert, right in the heart of the Palm Springs area, our golf courses wind through the rolling foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains and create a unique golf experience unmatched in the Coachella Valley. Original designs by Desmond Muirhead and Ted Robinson, in consultation with Arnold Palmer, have since been enhanced by the strategic redesign of several holes by renowned golf course architect and former PGA player, John Fought, to further cement our status as a premier private greater Palm Springs area Country Club.
South Golf Course – Top 10 in the Coachella Valley
Consistently rated as one of the top 10 in the Valley, and a greater Palm Springs area favorite, the challenging South Course (Par 72) enjoys the distinction of serving as the annual host to a U.S. Open qualifying round. Its eight sets of tees play from 4,757 to 7,274 yards, allowing for maximum versatility for golfers at all skill levels. The South Course is unique among Palm Springs Golf Courses with its striking and unobstructed views of its natural environment, dramatic water features and picturesque lakes, and is widely considered one of the finest golf experiences in the Palm Springs area.
North Golf Course
Centered in one of the nation’s most beautiful desert and mountain settings, our Par 70 North Course offers both walk-ability and playability from 4,455 to 6,088 yards and rewards player accuracy. Don’t be misled by the shorter yardage; the North Course offers some of the most scenic and challenging holes in the desert.
Something for Every Golfer
Ironwood also boasts one of the top golf practice facilities in the Coachella Valley with two driving ranges, three separate areas to hone short game skills and two putting greens. The Club’s pro shop offers members the finest equipment and apparel in the Valley, and its knowledgeable PGA staff is available for individual lessons and group clinics to create the ultimate golfing experience.

Ironwood’s friendly, welcoming membership and expert Pro staff ensure a special golf experience beginning with your first round. Active men’s and ladies’ groups mean there is “always a game” for players of all levels, from scratch golfer to those just taking up the game.
Tennis at Ironwood Country Club
Ironwood Country Club has one of the top tennis facilities in the greater Palm Springs area, boasting 11 tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts.
Courts and Events
Our courts have been recently re-surfaced to the same standards as the ATP and WTA Tours. Our greater Palm Springs area tennis facility provides members a variety of tennis events and activities. From lessons and tournaments to league play, Ironwood offers players of all abilities great opportunities to enjoy the game of tennis.
Our 4 pickleball courts offer regular organized play as well as drop in fun for all ages.
Tennis Pro Shop
There are ball machines to use and a fully stocked tennis shop. Racquet stringing and demo rackets are also available.

Ironwood Country Club’s Tennis and Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art, 10,000 square-foot facility promoting health, relaxation and camaraderie.

Dining at Ironwood Country Club
The social centerpiece of Ironwood Country Club is the stately 50,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse, where the majestic stone entrance creates an immediate sense of arrival that warmly greets members and guests alike.
Bistro and A la carte Dining
The Club’s exclusive dining options accommodate both members on-the-go and those desiring a fine dining experience. The Clubhouse dining room and main lounge provide the ideal settings for a variety of occasions and preferences, including enjoying a gourmet meal, more casual fare, or the convenience of a quick and healthy snack. Ironwood Country Club members are privileged with some of the Palm Springs’ best fine dining options, but can also connect for a libation after golf or a relaxed meal with friends in the Clubhouse’s lounge area. Buffet, bistro and seafood nights, combined with Sunday brunch and a la carte dining, provides just a sampling of the many choices available for members in the Clubhouse.

Special Occasions and Events
Planning a special event? Celebrations of all types can be created at the Clubhouse’s grand ballroom and two private dining rooms. Whether an anniversary, retirement, birthday or wedding, members can reserve their private space for elegant and festive celebrations for all occasions with family and friends.

Other Member activities sponsored by the Club include: Artists of Ironwood, Hiking Club, Ball Room Dancing, Tap Dancing, Cycling, Woman Golfers of Ironwood, Speaker Series, Ironwoodies Putting Group, Mah jongg, Bridge and Gin Rummy.
Social Events at Ironwood Country Club
If you are looking for something to do other than golf or tennis, look no further than Ironwood Country Club! The social activities are designed for a wide range of interests. Start your day with a bridge lesson, enjoy an afternoon at a cooking class or a bocce ball clinic and then complete your day at a wine tasting event. Social events are “inclusive” and Ironwood members participate in numerous activities to encourage camaraderie and develop new friendships.
In- season Bingo nights and monthly dance lessons are member favorites and the Lecture Series and annual Art Show continue to be “sold out” events.
There are so many activities to choose from, you can be as involved or as laid back as you desire. Either way you will find out why our members call us “Camp Ironwood!”
