Privileges with this membership include the use of the newly renovated Sonoran spa and fitness center, access to six clubhouses, nine restaurants and grills, hiking and biking trails and numerous social clubs. Golf privileges, including the practice ranges and the Jim Flick Golf Performance Center, are not available. This membership may be upgraded at any time to an Equity Golf Membership.

The Junior Equity Golf Membership is available to qualified applicants under 50 years of age.* This membership offers a graduating dues structure and the opportunity to finance up to $60,000 of the Equity Golf Membership contribution interest-free. Desert Mountain members also have the most extensive golf practice facilities in Arizona. There are multiple pitching, chipping, putting and bunker areas, and four separate practice ranges with target greens. The Jim Flick Golf Performance Center features the most advanced technology in the industry today, making it the only facility of its kind in the country. Among the center’s capabilities are 3-D motion capture, Doppler radar and four-camera video motion analysis to help golfers improve and understand their game. Unique to most private clubs, Desert Mountain has a broad cross-section of players on both a competitive and social level. There are clinics, leagues, tournaments and special events geared toward all level of players, providing fun and challenging play. Each week, we also offer open play (drop-in) for men and women.
During the season we strive to provide event diversity to accommodate the needs of our membership. During the summer, the always-popular tennis camp provides juniors with a mix of tennis, golf, basketball, soccer, swimming and indoor activities. The expansive 42,000-square-foot Sonoran offers fitness, personal training and physical therapy all within an uplifting ambience. At the Sonoran you will find that golf is not the only game on The Mountain! Our nine-court tennis complex, offering five state-of-the-art clay (har-tru) courts, three hard courts and the outstanding stadium grass court, is known as “Wimbledon of the West”. Our family and fitness pools are heated year-round and are often center stage for the Youth Center during its regularly scheduled events and seasonal camps. Round out your day with the fresh and healthy menu at the new Cafe Verde at the Sonoran. From an early morning bite to a late night snack, you can lounge on the patio and take in the spectacular views of the Valley of the Sun.
Desert Mountain has its own 15-mile private trails system consisting of seven trail segments, each varying in degree of difficulty for a different hiking experience on each.
The system takes hikers to the eastern slope of the Continental Mountains overlooking beautiful desert panoramas and through a colorful riparian basin. From scenic points along the way, hikers can take in views all the way to Tucson’s Catalina Mountains. You can also climb to a 4,100-foot elevation to see local landmarks like Skull Mesa, New River Mesa, Elephant Butte and Harquahala Peak to the west beyond the town of Wickenburg. Desert Mountain is a recipient of the American Trails Developer Award from the non-profit American Trails organization.

Desert Mountain is host to many club-sponsored events and organized activities for members of all ages. The Youth Center at the Sonoran Fitness, Tennis and Spa caters to children and teens with fun and exciting programs. There are creative arts and crafts classes, theater performances, field trips, various sporting events, a pre-teen night and so much more. Summer activities include golf and tennis camps for juniors.
A monthly calendar of events lists activities to keep all members, both adults and kids, out and about the community. Some of these include golf and tennis clinics, bridge, mah jongg, painting and book review clubs as well as culinary classes, wine tastings and winemaker dinners. Special events include our Independence Day Cookout, Stars and Stripes couples events and a speakers club featuring nationally-recognized guest speakers.
Desert Mountain members and their guests are privileged to participate in numerous events and activities scheduled throughout the year. Some of these include culinary classes, tennis clinics, bridge and canasta, mah jongg, book review clubs, prominent guest speakers, wine tastings and winemaker dinners. Other special events include food and wine festivals, golf events, trunk shows, and dinner shows. In addition, there are special menu nights with live music and entertainment, art shows and member-organized events, which are held monthly.
