About Brian

I’m Brian Harris, the owner and founder of Harris Vacations. I have worked hard to provide top-quality property management and vacation rental services in Gulf Shores, Alabama, for over eight years. My history with Harris Vacations began in 2013; however, my experience in the vacation rental industry goes back much further. Purchased with the college funds intended for my brother and me, my parents bought our first Gulf Shores beach cottage in 1983 and named it “SH 59.” Known today as “Catalina,” that property is where it all started.

Having grown up in the business, armed with a lifetime of experience in the industry, I received my real estate license in 2010 with the sole goal of starting a vacation management company. I saw the need for a management company focused on the owner’s experience, not just the guests. In 2013 we launched Harris Vacation Rentals and added owners to the rental program. Since then, I’ve become a licensed real estate broker, been quoted in the WSJ, and accepted an invitation to the National Association of Vacation Rental Managers. I watched my parents invest in cottages, build homes, and move homes (literally) from one beach to another from an early age. They experienced hurricanes, lost homes to storms, and rebuilt, all while trying to provide an excellent place for families to take a vacation and make memories together. I grew up as an owner and investor. My family and I are still owners and investors. That perspective has driven the systems that form our business. We strive for a better, more valuable owner experience in everything we do.
