Amanda Tharin is a proud member of the REMAX Purpose Driven team and brings over 40 years of deep-rooted knowledge of the Lexington, Lake Murray and midlands communities she has always called home. Recently certified through the REMAX Golf Lifestyles program, Amanda specializes in serving buyers and sellers who value the unique lifestyle that golf communities offer.

Amanda’s connection to golf runs deep. Her grandparents owned one of the first homes built in Timberlake in Chapin, South Carolina, the only golf course community located directly on Lake Murray. It was there, alongside her grandparents and her father, that Amanda first learned the game of golf and developed a lifelong appreciation for the sport and the community that surrounds it.

During her senior year at Lexington High School (1999–2000), Amanda was a member of the school’s first-ever Women’s golf team, where she proudly lettered in golf. Go Wildcats! Amanda attended the University of South Carolina where she majored in Retail Management with a minor in Dance, and she remains a loyal Gamecock.

Over the years, she has played at several country clubs throughout the Midlands and remains actively involved in golf-related charities and community fundraisers.

Today, Amanda’s connection to the golf community continues through her daughter Amelia, a member of the River Bluff High School Women’s Golf Team, which has allowed Amanda to build strong relationships throughout the Midlands golf community.

In addition to her real estate career, Amanda previously owned a retail business in Lexington and later worked as a paralegal in Columbia, and Family Court for the state of South Carolina. Her background in both business and law provides a strong foundation for guiding clients through the buying and selling process.

Amanda and her husband Jason are raising their two children, Amelia and Maxwell, in the same neighborhood where Amanda grew up. Maxwell plays travel baseball with The Outsiders and football with River Bluff Youth sports, and the family lives in Amanda’s childhood home with their French bulldog, Brody.

Amanda is passionate about helping clients find homes that match both their lifestyle and their dreams, whether that means living on the fairway, near the lake, or in one of the Midlands’ beautiful golf communities.
