About Tyrenda
Tyrenda Jerona Williams-Reed (Ty), REALTOR (R) and Alabama Broker Associate joined RealtySouth in 2020. As a licensed real estate advisor she serves her clients in both Alabama and Florida. She offers her clients a unique skillset as advocate and facilitator when navigating the complexities of real estate. Her professional experience includes risk management, communications and Human Resources and she holds professional certifications as an APR (Accredited in Public Relations), PHR (Professional in Human Resources) and CPSP (Certified Plan Sponsor Professional). She has a master’s degree in journalism and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University and received a bachelor’s degree from Birmingham-Southern College. In 2001, she received the honor of serving as a guest professor of English and American Culture at Kodolanyi Janos University College in Szekesfehervar, Hungary. In 1997, she became the first African-American to win America’s Junior Miss (Distinguished Young Women) in the program’s 40-year history.
