“One of the finest practice facilities in the nation” – Jack Nicklaus

In addition to the two championship golf courses, TwinEagles also boasts “One of the finest practice facilities in the nation,” according to Jack Nicklaus. The amazing courses, beautiful Clubhouse and superb practice facilities are just part of the quality golf experience TwinEagles offers. Perhaps the best thing about golf at TwinEagles is that your Golf Membership is included in the cost of every new home – and the limited number of memberships guarantees that your golf experience will be exceptional for decades.

But, there is more to TwinEagles than golf. Our 1,115 acre community is a beautiful Southwest Florida gem, where towering oaks, palm trees and lush landscaping create the perfect setting for the classic country club lifestyle. Quiet neighborhoods are tucked into the fairways and lakes, giving the homes breathtaking vistas and a sense of privacy unlike most resort communities. TwinEagles also offers outstanding community amenities, including a gorgeous swimming pool and fitness center. Those facilities complement the casual elegance of the 47,000 square foot Clubhouse, designed to capture the ambiance of St. Andrews, where the game of golf was born. There are dozens of lakes and miles of walking paths that meander through the community, as well as neighborhood parks and gardens that dot the landscape and provide quiet spots for enjoying the incredible Southwest Florida vistas.

Golf at TwinEagles

The Talon Course

For years, the Talon Course has been a favorite on the pro tour and the host of the ACE Group Classic (now the Chubb Classic). Designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son, the Talon is consistently ranked as one of the finest courses in Florida. It features all of the trademarks of Nicklaus golf including length, tricky approaches, and undulating greens. Bunkering and mounding also come into play and there are several sparkling lakes sprinkled throughout its 7,193 yards. It is a challenging but fair layout that makes you think – heavily emphasizing shot strategy and course management.

The Eagle Course

“Best New US Private Course of The Year” – Golf Magazine

The Eagle Course, designed by renowned course architect Steve Smyers, has added another dimension to the club’s popularity. Residents and pros alike love the Course’s thought provoking playing angles, optical challenges and gorgeous setting. As his inspiration for The Eagle, Smyers drew on historical designs created by classic course designers like Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor, among others. Considered the father of American golf, Macdonald attended St. Andrews University in Scotland and played matches on the Old Course at St. Andrews in the 1870’s. He went on to become a famous course architect and based many of his designs on famous holes found on Scotland’s finest links. The connection to Macdonald was particularly fitting for Smyers, considering the fact that the TwinEagles clubhouse was originally designed to pay homage to St. Andrews and the highland manors of Scotland. Smyers and his design associate, Patrick Andrews consider The Eagle Course a true work of art that makes the most of the natural setting. Like their historical mentors, they adapted the holes to fit the land – and lengthened the historical layouts to accommodate modern equipment.

Doc Suttie Golf Academy

Dr. Jim Suttie (known by his students simply as “Doc”) is one of the world’s best-known and most-respected golf instructors. He has just been ranked #17 for best teachers in America by Golf Digest. His students include many of golf’s top professional and amateur stars, but he still works one-on-one with anyone who would like to come to his lesson tees at Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville, IL in the summer and at The Club at TwinEagles in Naples, FL in the winter.

In 2000, he was named the PGA of America’s National Teacher of the Year and is a three-time winner of the same award from the PGA’s Illinois Section. He’s also included among GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers and is ranked as one of the Top 20 teachers in America on Golf Digest’s 50 Greatest Teachers list.

For more than three decades, Doc Suttie has been devoted to developing a teaching framework for golfers by applying biomechanical principles to the golf swing. This framework optimizes the relationship between each individual’s natural build and the golf swing that is the most easily adaptable to it. Without question, he has improved the games of thousands of golfers from around the globe.
